Glossary
Plain-language meanings for everything you'll see across Gab AI.
0–100 number that summarizes how strong a single response was.
Each rep is graded on tone, clarity, framing, and intent. The breakdown is averaged into one 0–100 score.
Why it matters
One number makes progress visible at a glance — easy to compare day-to-day or across categories.
e.g. A 78 means solid but uneven; a 90+ means the response landed on tone, framing, and intent.
One completed practice attempt.
A rep is a single scenario answered and scored — multiple-choice, written reply, or one Sim turn.
Why it matters
Short reps build pattern memory faster than long sessions. We track total reps to show consistency.
Consecutive days you've logged at least one rep.
Counted by UTC date. A day without a rep resets the current streak; the longest streak is kept as a personal best.
Why it matters
Daily reps beat weekend marathons. The streak nudges you to keep showing up.
How hard the scenario is — easy, medium, or hard.
Difficulty controls scenario complexity: subtler cues, more emotional weight, and tighter scoring on harder reps.
Why it matters
Training only at easy stalls progress. Harder reps stretch your range; easier ones rebuild confidence.
The conversation type — texts, dating, work, conflict, etc.
Every scenario lives in a category so we can show your strongest and weakest areas separately.
Why it matters
Knowing where you struggle is the fastest way to plan what to practice next.
A live 5-turn AI conversation with feedback at the end.
You exchange up to 5 turns with an AI persona. After it ends, you get a summary, score, and breakdown.
Why it matters
Real conversations are multi-turn. Sims train how you adapt mid-thread, not just one-liners.
The sub-scores that combine into the final score.
Every reply is rated on a few dimensions (e.g. tone, clarity, framing). The breakdown shows where you won or lost points.
Why it matters
The total tells you how you did. The breakdown tells you what to fix next.
A label derived from your average score and total reps.
Buckets like Rookie / Steady / Sharp / Pro reflect both how well you score and how consistently you train.
Why it matters
It's a friendlier summary than a raw number — useful for tracking long-term growth.
The character the AI plays in a Sim or scenario.
Personas have a role, mood, and goals (e.g. 'distant friend', 'flirty match'). They shape how the AI replies.
Why it matters
Different personas test different skills. Practicing across personas builds range.
Your highest score on a given scenario.
We keep the top score per scenario so retries replace the prior best only when you beat it.
Why it matters
Your profile reflects your ceiling, not your average — encourages re-trying tough scenarios.
One hand-picked scenario per day.
Rotates daily based on your focus category and recent gaps. Doing it counts toward your streak.
Why it matters
Removes 'what should I practice today?' friction.
The area you chose to prioritize during onboarding.
Steers daily scenario picks and recommended reps toward that category.
Why it matters
Targeted practice beats random practice when you have a specific goal.
